Hello,
I'm 24(M) I started my career at 17, bought my house at 20, paid my car off, built a nice 401(k), I also have side investments.
I'm not sure why I even mentioned any of that, probably because most normal people would be absolutely gawking at that "omg you're so set your life will be amazing".
Yeah, well about that. Recently I sold my house and started living out of my car. I sold majority of my stuff and put the rest in a storage unit, I paid the unit for a year considering I'm still working and have disposable income. I will no longer have a job as of November 1st.
I don't even know what I truly want to do with my life. I absolutely love traveling. I want to hop on trains and be a hobo across America. I want to go to SEA and do work workaways. I feel as if I'm meant to explore. I've been to 20 countries and 25 states. I would like to see more that America has to offer and kayak, hike, and be in nature. I really like the idea of train hopping (I'm aware of the dangers and the lifestyle).
After my job is over I'll be going to Japan. I'll be coming back home in December and spending my winter in a warmer southern state with family (They don't know I sold everything) from there I was thinking about either train hopping or starting to do workaways.
Maybe I'm in the wrong sub, maybe I just wanted to finally tell someone what I'm doing with my life. I've no idea, tonight I've kind of lost touch with why I started all this. I occasionally scroll through this sub and it's inspirational at times.
Thanks for reading.
