I hate how hard it is to get a basic job in America

I recently interviewed for McDonald's, they spent an hour grilling me. Whenever I gave a response, they quickly asked more questions to try to probe deeper into my experiences. I wasn't detailed enough and ended up failing the interview. I tried joining the military only to get rejected. I don't understand how most people even land these jobs when they clearly have high standards.
