So I went to my sister’s house yesterday to visit her kids. My niece was at a girls’ scouts meeting, so only my nephew was there.
We have an awesome relationship. He’s 13, and he was the first baby who’s diaper I changed. He was also around a lot during my own adolescence. We have a lot in common, too. He’s quiet and intellectual. He also likes to read, and we’re both fans of this book series called Warriors. We both found out about these books when we went to the book fairs in our schools. Though while he discovered the series when he was in the 3rd grade, I discovered it when I was in the 5th grade. I told him what my first book was in the series, and he said that he’d read it too!
He also likes animals, so I told him what I learned about how horses live in the wild. He told me that apparently lions live similarly, and I learned something new! He also told me that Simba and Nala from The Lion King were half-siblings and they hooked up. My nephew ruined my childhood! /hj
