I am in my 20s now, and it blows my mind seeing how so many people did have everything figured out in high school

I hate it how people online says no one has life figured out in high school. That’s not true at all. So many of my peers who are successful now were successful in high school. They got top grades, had the qualifications to join robotics, band, and sports teams, and those qualifications allowed them to get into a good college and eventually a good career. I can’t even join the US military now because of my decisions in high school

People forget how competitive high school is. You need years of experience to make it pass tryouts for sports or band. Robotics and debate have very high expectations. High school is not a place where you can mess around. It is extremely challenging and stressful
