I (19F) have been seeing a man (25M) and he said that he thinks it’s cute how I’m so shy, but I feel like I’m being too quiet around him or something because he brought it up?

I’m just nervous because I like him a lot though. He said this is cute, but do you think that he was saying that because he wanted me to open up more and not be shy around him?

I feel like I’m pretty shy because that’s just who I am, but I also just feel nervous because he’s the first I’ve dated. I’ve never even done anything sexual or had sex before. I’m just starting to date and have literally zero experience so since it’s new to me, I just feel very shy.

I was trying to not seem shy/nervous around him, but he can tell that I am. Is it bad to be shy?
