I'm sitting here this fine evening contemlating myself, trying to find out how I can improve as a person, a family member, a friend, a lover (Okay maybe not that last one, lol) and what have you.
Something I have always been self conscious about is how often I communicate with people I care about. Whether that be friends or family, the thing is outside of the people I directly interact with irl on a daily basis, I'm really bad at keeping in touch with...
Its not that I never talk to them or that I actively want to avoid them but I find myself only really reaching out over text or phone calls if I really want to or need something. It can go months without any contact for example. Meanwhile I can spend time talking to strangers/internet friends on discord, without problems. At first this probably doesn't sound super healthy and maybe, this is why I feel so alone at times.
So as a human I want to improve, that's why I'm asking around in here: How often do you keep in touch with people close to you? What would be considered a healthy amount and is there any way to train yourself to engage in it more? Or are you like me?
