How is it possible that 535 people have authority over 350+ million people?

Ss: It is Improbable that such a small group of people can represent such a large number of people. They give us two people to choose from for office of president. There are way too many of us to only have a choice for two options.

Why do we allow such a small number of people to control our lives?

We follow their rules but did we even agree to their rules? And they keep changing the rules whenever they feel like it.

Can you imagine a remote village in the jungle and a villager asks how many people live in your village? and we tell them 350 million. And then they ask us how many kings does your village have with so many people?` and we tell them we have 1 king. I know we dont really have a king but , how do you define what a president to a remote jungle village?

Why do we put up with this?
