How has journaling helped you ?

I was told just do some journaling, and I felt like what the heck does this even mean. Your telling me to write my thoughts on a paper that's it?? Then what? Like me living in anxiety for so many years have made me lost the sense of value and time. I still can't comprehend that February ended. 2 months already gone just like that. And I'm here stuck for 5 years or more, it's like my body is in 2025 but my mind is in 2016. So this means I've not achieved my goals that I had set that many years ago. Now I don't understand why is the mind still in 2016 phase.

I have no discipline routine. I don't seem to believe in my abilities that I can achieve my goals because that too has turned into fear. I really really want to change my perspective on life. Because I'm looking at problems like it's end of the world. And there are successful people who look at problems like a game. It's literally second nature for them. They just brush it off.
