I have been searching for several years for a meaningful way to live my life. I was longing for profoundness, longing for self-transformation, longing to find peace, the kind of peace which is not disturbed by external circumstances, but that comes from within.
I have been visiting multiple pilgrimage places in this search, and finally I reached Divinya, a beautiful spiritual community in the South of Sweden. The first 2 weeks of my stay in Divinya changed my life. The focus is so much on getting to know oneself, the self-inquiries were eye opening, the Teachings bring so much clarity and give hope that from suffering, one can reach the peace, the joy, the love.
A prayer from St.Francis of Assisi, which is recited every morning in Divinya: βLord make me an instrument of thy peace Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, let me sow pardon. Where there is doubt, let me sow faith.β
This prayer is the essence of what I experienced in Divinya, the power of transcending the negative into positive. This is the mantra I carry with me every day. Apart from that, the daily rhythm: waking up in the early morning, the participation in the communal activities, the time dedicated to understanding the human β the nature and the cosmos, all of it gives such a thrive to grow further in life. I can only wish for everyone to get such inspiration.
