Fake profiles in Facebook found which I found very bizarre and frankly terrifying. I'm aware of the existence of bots and their capability of manipulating people's opinion but this is something beyond.

Forgive me for my English. I'm not a native speaker.

Recently I've read some gaslighting comment on Facebook which triggered me to search the profile of the sender of the gaslighting comment, I quickly suspected that this profile is a bot then I tried to input the images from the oldest post 2012 to AI detection software, which the result came out to be high possibility of being AI generated. How is this possible that I find Facebook profile made in 2012 with majority posts with AI generated images?. I understand that social media is filled with bots but this is something beyond. Either the this technology of (AI image generation + sophisticated bot) has been around since way longer than we thought or is Facebook has the capacity to create believable fake (artificially old FB profile with lots of contents) so that public will believe that it's actual human?.

This is pretty frightening idea that some entity can alter the very source of info such as (Date of the post + contents) You can basically twist any truth and confuse public at will. Am I overthinking or missing something, what is your opinion on this, please enlighten me if I'm just being ignorant.
