I thought of this as I watched this week’s episode of Daredevil: Born Again. It’s fascinating to see the two different belief systems and ideologies of Matt and Frank. I was reminded of their rooftop argument in season 2 of the Netflix series. They both make good and valid points with they say. They each have truth to their arguments. They’re both shaped by their own experiences and those helped shape their worldview.
I personally think there are still many good people out there. I also think there is a gray area with some people. I believe people can change and become better. They may have messed up but then made a honest and conscious choice to clean themselves up and change their life. Learn from their mistakes and failures and go on a new path.
But I also feel they are people in this world who are rotten to the core and just evil. Just straight up bad. No remorse, no conscience, devoid of feeling. Psychopathic and only want to hurt others. Not create life or something positive. Just destroy. I feel like I see it more and more as I get older. People that are sick and truly show we live in a messed up and dangerous world. I heard of an example of this yesterday with a deranged woman drowning her own dog in an airport bathroom.
I’m a dog lover, so it was really upsetting and disgusting to listen to. But you don’t even have to own a dog to know how wrong and inhumane this is. It goes past cruelty. She murdered her dog.
I feel like we hear more and more now about sick people doing evil and despicable things. I know there’s the story of former YouTube vlogger Ruby Franke abusing her kids and now serving time for it. Sometimes it’s people who totally normal that are hiding something or doing something you’d never expect.
What do you think?
