Do humans have a positivity bias?

3 hours ago 2

The majority of humans in this planet believe that everything will work itself out if you just work hard and believe in yourself, and that you can do anything you put your mind to. They also believe that life is this beautiful thing that should be cherished and that things always get better with time. While I believe life can be beautiful for some, it can be extremely ugly and be hell on earth for others. I prefer to have a more balanced approach, that yea for some, hard work and self-confidence can make people achieve great things but for some it doesn't do much and no matter how much effort they put in, they'll never accomplish much due to no fault of their own or not because they have a negative mindset or any other BS talk like that.

I think a balanced approach is better, I don't like being overly optimistic or overly pessimistic although I understand why some choose to have that approach to their life.

What do you think?
