I hate this quality a lot — to the extent that even if a friend jokes they’re “jealousy”, I get a little annoyed. I’ve been in positions where people have resented me simply because of envy or jealousy. They worked to bring me down, whether through passive aggressive remarks or playing silly games, or trying to make me feel bad for my achievements attributing them to luck — when it’s really to make themselves feel better.
I don’t experience envy any longer. I used to as a child but I since grew out of it. Now, I hate jealousy or envy wherever I see it
Whether it’s hate towards the rich — driven by envy, or rage against the successful, driven by jealousy - it tells me a lot about people’s character and I tend to avoid them.
There are also those who don’t realise their hatred comes from jealous even though it’s glaringly obvious to everyone else. They annoy me too.
