Some writers exept Tolstoy, Dostoevsky are Maksim Gorky who was an exceptional short story writer with only one novel witch predicted much of the ussr and Varlam Shalamov who lived for 17 years in a gulag, also Turgenev. There are some 20th century Russian Sci-fi writers who are great.
Are there examples of western lit hiding hidden jems. If so are there any examples.
