The Dean of Flannery O'Connor on her centenary

I contend that Flannery O’Connor’s life and work embodied all three of the Lenten requirements: prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Since 25 March 2025 is not only the Feast of the Annunciation, but also O’Connor’s precise centenary, it is appropriate that we should meditate on these elements in her writing.
