Turned 40 this year, and it’s been hitting me how much of life I’ve missed along the way. I got married at 26, right in the middle of career struggles, working hard to build a better life. The years flew by as I focused on achieving the goals I set for myself, and I feel incredibly blessed to have reached so many of them.
But sometimes, it hits me—everything I sacrificed. The people I drifted away from, the moments I didn’t fully live, the dreams I put aside. We often pour so much into building a better life for our loved ones—our family, our kids—that we forget to take care of ourselves and do the things that make us happy.
Just a passing thought on a weekday evening: keep hustling for a better life, but don’t forget to take time for yourself. Do what you love, and try to live without regrets. Cheers to everyone out there, wherever you are.
