One of my HS friends became a member of a world-famous band that produced several number-one songs that people still listen to today. He lived the kind of life you read about on celebrity news sites and from all appearances, it seemed loke a pretty good time to me. He died a couple of years ago at 71. I can't decide which is better: a great short life or a normal long life.
