Why do a lot of guys think money and gym will get them women?

Don’t get me wrong, getting money and going to the gym are two very great things. But I’ve noticed on social media a lot of guys are doing it for the wrong reasons. They genuinely believe that becoming rich and jacked will find them true love. That’s simply not true. Sure it will get you attention from some shallow gold diggers but that’s about it. I don’t wanna sound like i think I’m above them cos I honestly don’t think that but in a way I feel sorry for them because they are working their asses off in these aspects of their life thinking it will result in them finding their true love when it doesn’t work that way and when they realise that, it’s gonna hit them hard. But it makes me question, why do they even think that becoming filthy rich and jacked will find them love to begin with? Any theories?
