Where and how could you find friends in your area?

I need someone that's passionate about cinema who I can go to the movies with.

People in Gen z and Younger aren't movie goers anymore and if I'm lucky I can find a cool single dad to hang with but it's hard where can I go online and meet people? I'm talking male friends.
