What can we do?

We like to think there is no limit to human ingenuity and that our flaws are temporary because eventually there will be a solution to every problem but I doubt we have done anything to expand human consciousness beyond our insular desires and I do not expect this dynamic to change. An ant may venture far from its colony analogous to outer space and encounter alien forms of life but from a larger perspective the journey was only a few inches. As far as we think ourselves to have come our technology is just a masturbatory exercise in extreme self obsession and self aggrandizing obfuscation of genuine effort. The key to human evolution is a pre-frontal-cortex-informed reevaluation of the methods by which we relate to our environment and each other. Just because we can dismiss the unsightly results of our unscrupulous behaviors does not mean that we should because the cycle of hurt will not spare you too who promotes it.
