Using normal-mode analysis, researchers showed that protein tubulin has vibration modes with frequencies in the subterahertz range (40-160 GHz), which is in the range for 5G and 6G telecommunication technologies. Water layers and damping affect these modes, impacting electromagnetic absorption.
