The last 6 months of my life have been a rollercoaster. In September of last year, I was dumped by my GF of 4 years out of no where. She moved to a different state and I haven't spoken to her since.
I moved in with my parents at the age of 30, and had no clue what to do next. At the time I had a high paying job so I was set there. I spent 3 months at my parents and eventually moved back to the city I'd been living in for the last 12 years.
2 weeks ago I was laid off from my job, didn't see that coming either.
I haven't told anyone about being laid off because I don't need my family to stress out, especially after the breakup thing.
But I sit here today happier than I've ever been. It's the weirdest feeling in the world. It's all been a big learning experience and my biggest takeaway is that 90% of things in life are out of our control. All we can really control is our mindset, everything else just happens and we gotta take it in stride.
Normally I'd write this in my journal but felt like sharing here incase anyone else is going through challenge in their life. We're all gonna pass the test, just control your mindset.
