Telling someone who is struggling to get a therapist isnt the solid life advice you think it is

I have never had a good experience with a therapist. Ive experienced sexual harassment, homophobia and loads of other judgements and biases that come with sharing intimate details about your mental health to a complete and total stranger who just wants a paycheck.

A therapist is not a substitute for a support system of people you can trust. The whole “trauma dumping” culture has destroyed any ability for people to connect on any deeper level than surface level conversations.

Therapists are just at work and everybody hates their job nowadays. They just want money they dont care to help you. Encourage people to seek like minded friendships and relationships, not speaking to a crooked hack who will only judge you and stare at you with a blank expression and ask how you feel.

On top of all this therapy is expensive! Its a classist sentiment that someone can just go out and get a good therapist. Not everyone has insurance or money for co pays. Idk im just so sick of people discarding peoples struggles with go get a therapist, i swear these people who give this type of advice have never actually spoken to one of these soul suckers!
