Still a couple hours left to register to vote without Florida ID in Broward County

2 weeks ago 22

Hey, I wanted to address the question of how you register to vote without a Florida ID. Yes, deadline is today.

I’m posting this here because Broward County’s elections supervisor offices are open late tonight, so it is not yet too late. See here: https://www.browardvotes.gov

YOU DO NOT NEED A FLORIDA ID TO REGISTER IF YOU PRINT A PAPER VOTER REGISTRATION FORM, FILL IT OUT AND SIGN, AND DROP IT OFF TODAY. YOU CAN SUBSTITUTE THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR SSN ON THE FORM.

Also, there is a box to check if you have neither Florida ID nor SSN, but I am not sure what happens if you have neither.

The paper registration form is labeled DS-DE 39. I thought it was a little hard to find online. I kept getting redirected to online registration, which I couldn’t do without a FL ID.

So here’s one link: https://dos.fl.gov/elections/for-voters/voter-registration/register-to-vote-or-update-your-information/

Under “How Can I Register To Vote,” look for this bullet point:

By mail or in person. The statewide voter registration application form (DS-DE 39) is available to prefill and print or download under Forms.

“Forms” is a blue link. Click that, scroll down to download the DS-DE 39 PDF.

If you can’t print the form, call your local library and see if they have paper forms in stock. Many/most/maybe all do. DMV may have them too.

I’ll continue this post in a comment. Mainly about where you should drop off the form.
