Saw a post about someone struggling in their 30s and wanted to relate!

1 month ago 27

I am in my early 30s and just recently got out of a relationship which in a way I would say in a nasty way and currently unemployed for over a year. Have been constantly interviewing and applying jobs but doesn't seem to be able to get anything since everything seems to be so competitive now, but I believe I will find a job soon since being single now with more time.

In terms of friends, I do have a lot of friends, but as they grow older, they have their families and obligation so obviously we don't see as often as we used to be - like go hang out all night and go vegas or reno for party, but I do have friends that are ready to offer me something if I ask, but I rarely like to ask for help and I don't really need any help besides figuring out my life.

I don't really have any finance issues, as in bringing food to table and paying rent etc. since my asset is way over 100k but tbh with inflation, I don't find myself having enough money because I support my aging parents in a way and even my grandpa financially (just a little). So I would say I am stressing a bit in finance after my break up since I am no longer funemployed but rather unemployed. I would feel more secured if I have half a million or a million - I would if I invested and worked harder in my 20s - didn't really start investing until late 20s. Btw, lost a few grand from stock this month by making some bad plays so definitely discouraged right now from short terming (I short term as a hobby or my income).

For traveling, I am going somewhere next month. I do have money to travel but don't really have friends to travel with nor want to make any plans to invite anyone. And when I travel, I am not that into seeing anything special or new but rather just eating at a new spot and visiting family/friends.

Life does sound boring but I do spend a lot of time working out if I am not injured. I look forward for sports gathering because I am ready to sweat my stress out if I have any. I look forward for gyming. I don't do drugs nor smoke but I have an addiction of video games I guess - as that's my way of running away from life, but if I was capable, I'd much rather be doing sports for couple hours a day.

Meh just wanted to rant, oh and I forgot about dating now. Dating now seems hard because dating app is not working especially for someone in their early 30s vs when I used to be late 20s when I was getting a lot more matches. Do yall relate with the struggles.

Anyway, any female redditors want to date or chat and talk about our struggles? :)
