Salary life is broken (needs an update)

1 week ago 10

Imagine being asked to take on a 6-month assignment with a net salary of 1600 € per month as an engineer. Moreover, the job requires you to be mobile throughout an entire country, rent accommodation (around €800 per month for a 44 m² one-bedroom apartment), and cover your living expenses. These expenses include approximately 150 € for electricity and gas, 600 € for food, 30 € for mobile internet, and 50 € for public transportation in one of the locations where you'll be stationed.

It seems companies don’t understand the concept of fair work if they’re asking me to work for a monthly increasing debt of 30 € after expenses. Plus, it's only a 6 months assignement. 😀
