Being in a finance sub, most of you would know that the companies in the S&P500 (top 500 companies) and other indexes, are not equally weighted, bigger companies make up a bigger percentage of the index. I made a graph to help visualize this point, data was imported from slickcharts today 4/1/25. It's essentially being "carried" by only a few technology companies. Including Nvidia (NVDA) in #2 place, (even though a majority of financial advisors consider it a meme stock). Some observations:
