I finally watched the Joe Rogan interview of Mike Benz.
He worked for the state department and also heavily researched the censorship online. At first he thought it was a culture war. However, when he dug deeper, he kept seeing gasoline executives speak at summits for "disinformation."
He cites two timelines. For one, the apparatus (government blob) that does the censorship has been built over the past 80 years. It used to be used to stop left-wing-populism such as stopping the anti-war movements of the 60s as well as stopping left-wing-populism in other countries such as communism. That is what it started as.
He also cites an event in 2014 in Ukraine in which something went wrong. I don't know enough to type all that out but the US was losing basically and NATO was going to lose the narrative to Russia.
Anyway, this apparatus was turned inward to now target right-wing-anti-war populism.
He says that the United States empire, has, for the past 80 years, put it's finger on the scale in every single country on the planet. We establish 'assets' everywhere and they use them as we need them. So, we spend billions in a country to start up an organization that we can then rely on later.
He also stressed the definition of democracy. Democracy is not making sure that you and I can go vote. Democracy is making sure the assets that they created stay in power. So, their assets that they created at Universities, at cable media stations, and at science laboratories all need to stay in power so that they stay in power. It has nothing to do with voting.
He did say, in 2014, they were still skittish about turning this power inward. They really were.
He also said that Ukraine is simply about gas. Russia is currently flexing its influence throughout Europe because Russia has threatened to turn off the supply of cheap gas. In contrast, Ukraine also has a lot of cheap gas and we want to make sure Europe can get cheap gas from Ukraine so that Russia will go bankrupt and have no influence.
He also said that government leaders make very little money; however, they often go on to work at blackrock or other stock market related companies. This is because they keep their connections with the government empire blob and can make phone calls to see what they should invest their money in. Because the US Empire spends trillions in every single country creating 'assets' they always know which commodity or region to invest in that will make lots of money.
He said most of the companies throughout the world that function as assets for the US government get to keep all the profits they create while operating under the full protection of the US Empire.
For instance, the gas company in Ukraine will be defended absolutely while making lots of money.
