Loneliness

I’m only 18 and I have maybe 4 friends that I talk to rarely, I feel so alone and like I’m wasting my childhood. Sometimes I wonder if it’s my fault that no one likes me or wants to be my friend does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this, I’m usually quiet and not very outgoing and wear my headphones most of the time
