I went to a Catholic school when I was a kid and in religion class they said God already knows the moment when you are born, whether you are going to heaven or hell after you die.
I always brush it off as some sort of divine knowledge to show how powerful God is, but rethinking this today, I actually think it is possible to predict what a person would become if you knew every life event that person come across in his/her life.
A young black man struggling with money and homelessness comes across a stock broker in his Ferrari one day and decides to pursue a career in finance. He worked hard and made it big, later selling his stake in a brokerage firm for millions of dollar - this was the story of Chris Gardner.

My dad once told me that most people living in the western world will come across their own "Chris Gardner" moment at least once in their life-time. The choice you make in that critical moment will forever change the path of your life.
However, is it really our choice to make? Our choices is really a combination of life experiences and upbringing. When you come across your own life changing moment, your decision is really based on what you can comprehend which is based on what you know at that very moment combined with our demeanor and attitude which forms your opinion and decision.
Which goes back to the first point. You will always choose based on what you think is the right thing to do, which is just a function of who you are. That's why your success is only a function of yourself, and whose who know you from inside-out, including God, knows exactly the choices you will make and where you will end up. Therefore, none of your choices are really yours to make, as they were already made before you had to make them in the first place.
Am I wrong?
