Is life gets Taxes?

I feel life is taking with giving, there always choice to get but in the return she takes. Is it life or only my life? I always be in position that i must loss something to get a simple things i want. It the end I end up my journey betting on nothing.
And make new decisions to make up my mistakes why? Because i end up again between keep what i already have or loss it with getting what i already lost. What is my lesson I don’t understand ?
