Is Citizenship Just a Lottery of Birth? Stuck Without Citizenship and Passport: A Real-Life 'The Terminal' movie

2 days ago 120

Being born in one country or another often feels like a lottery, and in my case, it has turned into a bureaucratic nightmare. The state where I was born has revoked my citizenship and refuses to renew my passport. Meanwhile, the state where I currently reside won’t renew my residence permit because I entered using the now-invalid passport from my birthplace.

This situation has left me trapped, with no citizenship, no valid passport, and no clear path forward—a stark reminder of how much one’s life can be shaped by the circumstances of their birthplace.
