is a friendship between a 13f and a 17m acceptable

i think i already posted smth like this before but no one saw it but i met this 17 year old (turning 18) guy recently and we're really good friends and nothing more and our relo is completely platonic and he says that he doesnt plan on being more than friends with me so is it still weird that im 13 and hes almost an adult
