In the end- people leave

Few weeks ago, probably two of the past two weeks I started texting this friend of mine who used to be in my contact lists fora while. We started texting alot and found out he was a weirdo as I am. An introvert that really clicked. We even planned to go on an event together were we would actually meet for the first time in forever. We did meet, and we actually clicked and it was fun. Two weeks conversation felt like I actually found someone I could call a friend. It was a clear platonic friendship and we were both happy. Tell me why, yesterday night out of no where he just texts and says i should stay away and he wont be texting me again.💔💔 Well, i feel bad that it didn't go well in the end but it was good having this short experience of friendship in this adulthood stage. Has anyone ever experienced this before -friendship that was perfect just ends and no appropriate reason for it?
