Basically it’s this, I’ve noticed throughout my local community that people take watch and are ready to take action in the face of danger. If someone has a heart attack in public, be there for them and GET HELP. I wasn’t trained properly on how to handle these type of situations.
My dad taught me (or at least tried) to mind my own business and let everyone else sort out their own problems. The guy doesn’t even leave big tips whenever he dines out.
My biggest concern is that I will eventually find myself in one of those situations, maybe a car wreck, maybe a heart attack, maybe a shooter, and I completely freeze and feel useless.
This is me just venting. I wish instead of being selfish my dad could’ve taught me basic human decency. Is there anyone else that can relate?
