I’ve been really struggling with my health. I have a disorder called no burp disorder that is really becoming difficult to live with (yes I’m part of the sub)
I’ve seen several doctors who have no idea about it. I’ve seen doctors who do know about it but won’t treat it because they think my acid reflux will damage my vocal cords. My gastro doesn’t think I have acid reflux though. I can only see my gastro once every 6 months. I have a bravo test next April to re- test for acid reflux. (I’ve already done the catheter version that showed only 6 reflux events that hit my upper esophagus. But my new gastro doesn’t like that test and wants the bravo one)
The only reason they aren’t treating is because I got a fluoroscopy that shows video evidence that reflux is hitting my upper. Gastro says that’s not a good test for reflux.
Idk what to do. I also struggle with breathing. I have asthma, but nothing is working. My pulmonologist is absolutely flabbergasted. She just keeps throwing meds at it and not believing the actual issue is no burp.
My primary doc said she thinks I’m a unicorn and need to go to Cleveland clinic where they get the weird cases. No joke.
