I feel like I’m becoming less and less intelligent

Went to my grandmas house straight after a call day and immediately went to the kitchen without turning off my car, closing my door or turning off my headlights because I was starving!! There was no gate and my country has a high crime rate, cops pulled up in front the house and scolded me for being dumb. This happened about a week ago and I still can’t stop thinking about how stupid I was
