I've recently just discovered a whole world of literary journals and it's a bit overwhelming to filter through hundreds and hundreds of them. I've been writing and brainstorming for a long time and think it might be healing to find literary communities to share these works even if I don't get paid since it's the sense of community that I'm mostly looking for. There's a lot of intersectional themes and concepts that I know what to look for in journals, but I'm unsure of a lot of things since I'm just starting out learning about the journal/publishing world. I was wondering if searching for journals is a part of anyone's regular routine until they find the ones that they really resonate with. Or any thoughts about the state of journals/publishing during these times.
Sincerely, a chronically overthinking Gen Z who wonders how to incorporate writing in their daily routine amidst the constant digital landscape and rapidly changing times.
