How do you guys cope with being a cog in the wheel at your corporate desk Job?

I feel like a fish out of water these days. Coworkers around me happy in Lala- land and what not, talking about the internet and other pointless things like celebrities' love affairs. Everyday the sad reality hits me that I'm on the low end of the corporate hierarchy pyramid, therefore all of my viewpoints are dismissive, because who do I think I am?? What kind of mindset do you guys keep after acknowledging the fact that you're nothing but a pawn or a number to the ones at the top?
