How do I find a passion?

2 months ago 34

26M, new lawyer, and an only child. Thanks to my parents, I’ve had the privilege of being immersed in a wide range of fascinating experiences and subcultures. One weekend, you’ll find me at an outlaw motorcycle rally, sharing beers with the Hells Angels; the next, I’m at a rare antiquarian book fair, sipping wine and handling books worth millions of dollars. I box weekly, once worked at a tattoo shop, interviewed trap rappers, and even stood on stage with them at sold-out shows. I’ve modeled for magazines in my younger years and, more recently, ventured into collecting and dealing oddities.

While all of this has been thrilling, I’ve come to realize that I don’t feel deeply rooted in any one world. I’m connected to so many fascinating subcultures, but I can’t say there’s one thing that truly defines me—one hill I’d die on. And that scares me. I feel lost, like I’m still searching for that singular passion or purpose that makes me feel whole.
