i’m 900 pages deep into 1Q84 but at this point i’m finding it more and more difficult to keep going even though i have only around 300 pages left. i really want to finish this book because i’ve invested nearly two months of reading to get this far but it’s honestly difficult to care at this point…
now i find myself in this loop where i don’t want to read other things because i /should/ finish it but because it doesn’t really inspire me i haven’t been reading much at all—which, in turn, makes me pine for the fictional world. and so i’ve entered this vicious cycle.
what do you do in this situation? do you quit or do you keep going? and if you do keep going, how do you motivate yourself?
