Feeling special

4 hours ago 5

So I became a teacher and I'm the chill kinda teacher, being nice to students and not overly strict. That makes the students greet me WAY more than they ever did to their other teachers, I can sense the jealousy of other teachers. Almost every student of every grade greets me and i greet them back but you know... Some shy students they just don't greet anyone, not out of some arrogance, but because of being shy and introvert and i completely understand. I just smile and nod at them.

So I got a substitution period in class 3rd because their teacher was absent, and when I walked in I saw a girl was sitting on a broken chair unlike her classmates and she was one of the shy students, I asked other students what was wrong, and why she's being discriminated and they told me that principal told her to sit away from us.

I immediately put her back on a proper seat and told the students that this behaviour is not acceptable and even she realised despite being so small that i fought for her. I controlled myself otherwise I would've cried there.

Fast forward to next day, the little girl started greeting me and I feel great that even children can see my efforts and I'm becoming their favourite teacher.

(My English isn't perfect so please bear with me)
