Fading into abyss

2 months ago 101

These darkest days—you might have felt lost, inferior, or in pain, as if you had become invisible. No one seemed to see you. You even pulled yourself away from the crowd, distancing yourself from the world. Step by step, you sank deeper and deeper into a dark abyss. In those moments, you yearn for someone to extend a hand with the power to rescue you from the abyss. Yet, you only found yourself sinking further into the darkness. One is the person you trusted and loved for 25 years; the other is your own child. They despise you, inflict pain upon you, and even go so far as to break your arm to prevent you from seeking help. They shatter your soul, leaving you in such despair that you can no longer see any light. ————————— The suffocating silence of that man, and the hurtful words from that child over these days had pressed down on your chest. His voice, once a source of joy and pride, now cut through you like shards of glass. The child you had nurtured, the life you had poured your soul into, had grown into a stranger—cold, dismissive, and cruel. You closed my eyes, trapped in hatred, yet yearning for a glimmer of hope. The contradiction is so ironic and so sharp it is consuming you. How could you feel this way toward your own child? How could someone you cherished so deeply now feel like the source of your undoing? ————————— They asked if you truly cared about this family. But you have begged and begged for the repair of it. Until sinking into the deepest of this abyss, you realized that you had nothing left to struggle for. The darkness had seeped into every corner of your being, and you no longer had the strength to resist it. You angered, screamed, cried, to make them see the depths of your suffering—but what would it matter? They wouldn’t listen. They wouldn’t care. Your pleas would only be met with more accusations, more contempt, more proof that you were truly alone. ————————— You whispered to the emptiness around you, “I’m invisible to you. My pain is invisible to you. And soon, I will be gone, and then perhaps you’ll see me for the first time—but it will be too late.”

And with that, you sank deeper into the abyss, the faint hope that someone would extend a hand fading like a flicker of light swallowed by the night.
