I believe you can vote at any location, but they don't specifically say that.
The issue I have is the marketing. I looked through the whole supervisor of elections website as well as a post card from the SOE and their Instagram, and still cannot find anywhere stating that you can vote at any location and that it's different from Election Day. I bet a lot of people work vote early cuz they don't know which location they're allowed to vote at.
On Election Day there are specific precincts you must go to. For early voting, it's completely different. Why don't they educate people and explain you can go to any location? If you go to the wrong location on election day they kick you out. People don't want to get kicked out for voting, so they may hesitate to vote early out of sheer confusion.
My other gripe is that the closest early voting location for me is 20 minutes away.
