Does anyone ever feel like they always make wrong decisions, but later on those turned out to be for the best?

Because of my sudden decision to shift courses, my graduation got delayed, again, by a year. I'm trying to see the silver lining in the situation, that maybe this is the path I need to take in order to figure out what I really want. Have you ever felt this? Does it ever turn out to be for the best?
