DO NOT GIVE UP - there is something out there for you!

Hey, I (31F) am a long-time lurker on this sub & wanted to share this for anybody who feels lost, stuck in the wrong job, or is perhaps just starting over. At 27, I hit my rock bottom: I had lost myself in a dangerous relationship, self-medicated with drugs & alcohol, had no savings, and little direction having had around 10 jobs since the age of 18. I am INFP type by the way (we do not belong in the corporate world).

I’m cutting a very long story short here but after some of my darkest hours, I decided I didn’t want to go through life without understanding the reason why I’m here, so I went in pursuit of my purpose. I had no professional help - just me on a self-development mission.

This led me to pursue a degree in psychology at 28, begin life coaching (I dislike this term but am using it for clarity’s sake), and I now have my own mental wellness company which specialises in mindfulness & spiritual practices. (This by no means a brag of any kind, please stick with me!)

It also led me to realise that there’s a path for all of us. Yours may not be immediately obvious, given your current situation. The job you’re in might seem a million miles from the one you want to switch to. Your degree might not have any direct employment opportunities. You might even feel like it’s too late & you’ve made a mess of your life. But believe me when I say that everything you do and all that you’ve gone through has equipped you with unique experiences and expertise that can easily be developed into your own purpose - it might just take a little guidance. I resonate with many of the struggles I see on this sub and if I can help, I really want to.

I have various self-development programmes on my website, one of them being called “Finding Your Purpose” and, for anyone interested, I have uploaded the accompanying step-by-step video content to YouTube, in the hopes that it will help people outside of my client base. I am sharing the link here in case you want to have a look:

I can’t help but feel sad when I see some of the posts on here. Life can be really f*cking hard, and can even feel pointless at times, but I don’t want you to lose hope. If I can help just one of you, I will feel fulfilled 🤍.
