Did you grow up with food insecurity?

If you did, how does that still show in your life today?

My kids are laughing at my fridge/pantry/freezer situation. They say nobody buys multiple jars, cans, and packets of everything. We always have unopened cereal, oatmeal, and flour; some bread in the freezer; extra milk and butter.

I started wondering if I’m stocking the shelves because when I was a kid, we didn’t always have that much. Until now, I kind of thought I was just being a responsible adult.
