Dancing in the rain

I see a lot of the younger generations get life all wrong on social media. Life is not meant to be about happiness. If you are constantly looking for it you will never find it. If you constantly have it you will never appreciate it. Life is about struggle, adversity and overcoming traumas. It allows us to learn and grow. You will find pockets of joy throughout those moments. My senior quote was those who say sunshine brings us happiness never danced in the rain. That still resonates with me today. I am currently struggling with psychosis I think is chronic, which is a reality I’m learning to accept. My pockets of joy you ask? Playing an intense game of jeopardy with someone I love. Waking up to watch the sunrise on a cold winters day with a cup of coffee. Being engrossed in a book so much that I can’t sleep. For those suffering, silent or aloud—may you discover the joy in dancing in the rain, rather than waiting on rainbows.
