Crime & Punishment: Do you sometimes find the lesser known translations underappreciated?

After comparing the translations of C&P excerpts side-by-side, I found the least favored - Magarshack and Monas - the most enjoyable among the rest. I know it's a matter of preference, but sometimes I can't help but think that the popular ones are overly glorified (not an unpopular opinion, but may be controversial).

So I would like to know for those who have read Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, have you also tried to explore which translation suits your narrative style best or did you just settled with the most popular translation(s)?
