Charles Bukowsky - Is it worth to read all this books?

6 days ago 20

14 -15 years ago I read a lot and remember enjoying Bukowski a lot. I read Ham on rye, women , the post office and factotum which is also how I would rant them by personal preference. Ham on rye being absolutely heartbreaking.

My question is in regards to his other books (novels primarily, I am not a poetry guy), are they worth reading? Hollywood & Pulp. Also, feel free to suggest similar authors.

Note I am a slow reader with time to read on the train, reading something I do not enjoy is more or less draining. I am really not one of those who can consume a 500 page book in 1-2 days. Therefore I am asking :P
